In real life, we often use liquefied gas. After all, cooking is indispensable. Especially in Africa, it is very common to use liquefied gas for cooking. So what should we pay attention to in the process of using liquefied gas? Now Tianlong LPG Cylinder Manufacturing Plant will explain to you:

  1. What safety items should be paid attention to when storing and transporting liquefied gas and compressed gas?

  (1) The warehouse should be cool and ventilated, prevent sunlight exposure and strictly prohibit heat. During transportation, it must be handled with care and no impact. At the same time, wear the safety helmet on the cylinder.

  (2) Cylinders whose contents conflict with each other should be stored separately. For example, hydrogen cylinders and liquid chlorine cylinders; hydrogen cylinders and oxygen cylinders; liquid chlorine cylinders and liquid ammonia cylinders, etc. must not be stored in the same inventory.

  (3) Cylinder valves during storage and transportation should be tightened to prevent leakage.

  2. In what aspects are the flammable and explosive characteristics of LPG?

  (1) Liquefied petroleum gas has a low boiling point and is extremely easy to vaporize under normal temperature and pressure. 1 cubic meter of liquid can vaporize 250 cubic meters of gas.

  (2) The gaseous state of liquefied petroleum gas is heavier than air, and it can float on the ground or deposit in low-lying places without spreading easily.

  (3) The lower explosive limit of liquefied petroleum gas is low. When the concentration of liquefied petroleum gas in the air reaches 1.5%, explosive gas can be formed.

  (4) The ignition energy of liquefied petroleum gas is small (less than 0.4mJ), as long as there is a tiny spark can ignite and detonate.

  (5) The resistivity of liquefied petroleum gas is high, and when it is sprayed from the container at high speed, it can generate electrostatic voltage of several thousand volts, and its discharge spark is enough to cause fire and explosion.

  (6) Liquefied petroleum gas contains sulfide, which can corrode the container to produce ferrous sulfide powder, which will emit heat and ignite spontaneously when exposed to air.

  3. What are the dangers of liquefied petroleum gas?

Liquefied petroleum gas has the characteristics of easy expansion, easy vaporization, and easy generation of static electricity, so it is easy to burn and explode. It also has the risk of corrosion and anesthesia.
